While driving
north on I-35, You will come across Barnum, Minnesota. About 1 hour and
40 minutes north of the Twin Cities and about 5 minutes past Moose Lake.
Off to the left of the exit ramp you will see the Wyndtree North restaurant
and their new 20 ft. statue of this northland pioneer.
As you get into the heart of downtown Barnum, you will see a very nice
small park as you cross the bridge of a small river.
The Park has a picnic tables, a pavilion and a volleyball net set up.

Barnum
city park is a nicely kept and quiet place located right in the heart of
Barnum. Picnics and a playground are available as well as overnight camping.
 .
Barnum, Minnesota is host to the Carlton County Fair. Special features
of their annual fair are figure 8 racing and my favorite the Smash-Up Derby!
Carnival Rides and other typical county fair attractions are also there.
The Carlton County Fair is usually held the 3rd week in August or thereabouts.
