Floodwood, Minnesota established in 1893, is located at the intersection
of Hwy 2 and Hwy 73. About a half hour north west of Cloquet, MN.
. A real nice restaurant called the Savanna Portage and the water tower
in Floodwood are shown above.
Floodwood is the Catfish Capitol! And well fitting, as Floodwood sits
geographically on the St. Louis River, the Savanna River and the Floodwood
River. And you know what kind of fish is abundantly found in Rivers? CATFISH!
So it's only fitting that Floodwood's yearly festival be called Catfish
Days! Now there is a small town good time! Stop by and try some shore fishing
and pull in a lunker! Catfish give a great fight!
