Real Estate in Garrison, Minnesota and Mille Lacs Lake
Garrison, Minnesota is located on Mille Lacs Lake. I'd guess a
2 1/2 hour drive north of the Twin Cities on Hwy 169. Mille Lacs Lake is
one of Minnesota's premier Lakes that you might often see on some fishing
shows. All Freshwater Species are popular especially the highly acclaimed
and darn good eatin' Walleye and the furocious Tiger Muskey!
Garrison sits on the West shore of the Lake at the junction of Hwy
18. Taking 18 West will bring you to Brainerd. That's another 30 miles
or so. Fast Food restaurants and a casino are very close as well. Many
resorts and campgrounds are located in the area so be sure to check out
our data base to the left and reserve a spot! Here are some photos in Garrison

Right in the center of Garrison is this great Way Side Rest area. Great
scenery and a good spot to stretch the legs.
Mille Lacs Lake is about 25 miles across at it's widest, you can't
see the other side at its widest part!

Being such a Big Lake - you will need to pay close attention to the
weather reports as swells on this lake can catch you off guard in a hurry!
This is also one of Minnesota's leading Ice Fishing Lakes. Cities of fish
houses adorn the walleye holes but your likely to catch a few hundred Eel
Pout......If you've been there, you know what I mean...LOL!
Many fish houses can be rented from the resorts here. Just call em
up, reserve one and they will have one ready for you, sleepers, cook stoves,
the works! 30 below zero outside, 85 inside! Going out side to make some
yellow snow is quite the climate change! Oh, at 30 below, skin freezes
in 30 seconds, so make it a quick one! No time to see the man about a Horse...
