Walker, Minnesota

Walker, Minnesota (Muskie Capitol of the Nation!) is beautifully located
on Leech Lake, one of Minnesota's finest lakes in the entire state! The
town of Walker is located about 2 1/2 hours west of Duluth and about 3
hours north of the Twin Cities Metro Area. A tourist's delight! Many stores
for shopping, restaurants and plenty of activities can be found in the
local area. The town is very clean and well kept. Unique stores and shops
are its main attraction. Walker is also the Home of the Famous Moondance
Jam festival that comes to the area every July and fills the town with
thousands of concert and camper goers!

Definitely known for outstanding fishing, Leech Lake has it all! Leech
Lake holds a huge variety of Minnesota's Best Fresh Water Fishing Species,
including the Big Bad Boy of them all MUSKIE! But don't forget the Walleye!
Minnesota's Best eating fresh water fish of all! Bass, Crappie, Northern
Pike, Sunfish, Blue Gill, perch and many others are plentiful in Leech
Lake.


Walker is a beautiful town with much to offer, I hope you get a chance
to visit this Northern Minnesota Gem of a town soon!
To get to Walker Take HWY 200 West from eastern Minnesota, or go north
on HWY 371 from central Minnesota. From the Twin cities take HWY 10 north
to HWY 371 north into Walker.
